We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. It's almost time to get back on the lacrosse field and we're excited to get started! It's been a busy summer and the FLA board has been working to plan the season, update uniforms, and (this is big) shift our fall tournament focus to an issue that is greatly affecting our athletes, our DFW community, and our country. Our Fall Tournament will now be "Lax for Life". We'll provide details on this soon, but just know that we're in the process of building a program around Lax for Life to reinforce the idea that mental health matters, and to help our athletes thrive on and off the field.

Fall Youth practices will begin on September 4th and will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6-7:30 pm at B.F. Phillips Park. This practice schedule is designed to offer flexibility for kids playing multiple sports to make at least one practice a week. For those that can make all 3 practices, this will be a great opportunity to significantly improve your skills throughout fall.

Fall High School practices will begin on September 5th and Coach Hickman will communicate practice plans with the team.  Practices are usually three days a week (not on Friday) from 6-7:30 at BF Phillips Park. The High School will participate in Turlaxin on the weekend of October 14th and 15th.  They will play a scrimmage during our Lax for Life tournament at BF Phillips during the weekend of October 21st and 22nd, and may have another play day. For the fall, players will need to purchase a pinnie if they did not get one last fall (link to come).  New players will also need to purchase our gray team helmet, which we offer at a discounted price.

For youth we are targeting 4 regular season games, plus 2 tournaments (Lax for Life - Oct 20-22 & Turlaxin Oct 28-29.) More details to come on this as plans evolve. We will host a parent meeting at the start of the season to provide an opportunity to meet the coaches, the board, and learn about player expectations and season details.

Frisco Lacrosse is in the process of designing new youth uniforms that we'll begin using this season. If you are a returning player from the spring season, you can select your previous number IF you register by August 15. If you don't register by August 15th, your previous number will be returned to the pool of available numbers for other players.
